Hypnosis for Better Sleep in Reno

When your body is tired but your mind won't switch off

You go to bed exhausted, and then your mind starts replaying the day, rehearsing tomorrow, or worrying about not sleeping. Or you fall asleep fine but wake at 2 or 3 a.m. and can't get back down. Over time, the bed itself becomes a place of stress instead of rest.

That pattern is learned, and what's learned can be changed. Hypnotherapy works with the part of your mind that runs on habit and association. It teaches your nervous system to slow down on cue and helps break the link between bedtime and worry.

Who this is for

  • People who have trouble falling asleep because of a racing mind

  • People who wake in the night and can't get back to sleep

  • Shift workers, new parents and frequent travelers whose rhythm is off

  • Anyone whose stress or worry is showing up at night

  • Veterans dealing with poor sleep or disturbing dreams, alongside care from their provider

How it works

Most sleep clients do well with the 4-session package.

  1. Session 1: Your sleep pattern. We look at your nights, your routine, and what's keeping your mind switched on. Your first hypnosis session starts teaching your body to let go.

  2. Session 2: Quieting the mind. We work on the worries and thought loops that show up at bedtime, and give you a simple technique to use in bed.

  3. Session 3: New sleep associations. We reinforce bed as a place of rest and build a wind-down routine your mind recognizes.

  4. Session 4: Making it stick. We build on what's working and prepare you for the nights that might still be harder.

You'll also get a recorded sleep session to listen to at home / self-hypnosis techniques so the work continues every night between sessions.

Common questions

Will I fall asleep during the session? Some people drift very close to sleep, and that's fine. Your mind still takes in the suggestions.

Should I see a doctor first? If you snore heavily, stop breathing during sleep, or feel exhausted no matter how long you sleep, check with your doctor to rule out a condition like sleep apnea. Hypnotherapy works well alongside medical care.

I take sleep medication. Can I still do this? Yes. Keep following your doctor's advice about any medication. Hypnotherapy doesn't replace it.
