Hypnotherapy for Anxiety & Stress in Reno
Calm isn't something you have to force. It's something your mind can learn.
Stress builds up quietly: tight shoulders, a short temper, a mind that won't stop planning and worrying. Sometimes it shows up as anxiety in specific situations, like meetings, driving, crowds, or social events. You know you're overreacting, but knowing doesn't turn it off.
That's because stress responses are automatic. Hypnotherapy works at that automatic level. In a deeply relaxed, focused state, we calm your body's alarm system, change how you react to your triggers, and build a sense of steadiness you can call on when you need it.

How it works
Most clients start with the 4-session package. If you've been carrying stress or anxiety for a long time, or it affects many areas of your life, I may recommend the 6-session package so we can go deeper.
Session 1: Understanding your stress. We identify what triggers you, how it shows up in your body and thoughts, and what calm looks like for you. Your first session gives you a felt sense of real relaxation.
Session 2: Calming the alarm. We teach your nervous system a faster way back to calm, including a quick technique you can use anywhere.
Session 3: Changing your responses. We work on your specific triggers so they lose their grip.
Session 4: Building confidence. We build on your progress and prepare you for the situations ahead.
You'll leave with self-hypnosis techniques and a recorded session to listen to at home so you can keep calming your mind between sessions.
Common questions
Is hypnotherapy a replacement for counseling or medication? No. Hypnotherapy is a supportive approach that can work well alongside care from a doctor or licensed mental health professional. If you're in crisis or your anxiety is severe, please reach out to a medical or mental health provider first.
Will I lose control? No. Hypnosis is a relaxed, focused state. You hear everything and stay in control throughout. Many people say it's the most relaxed they've felt in years.
How soon will I notice a difference? Many people feel calmer after the first session. Lasting change usually builds over the full package as new responses become automatic.
